Our adored babe is now 5 years old and tiny, no longer. There are days in which the past five years are a colorful blur and days in which I feel the wear and weight of every minute. It’s been challenging and growth inducing in the most beautiful and rewarding ways. Worth the wear, worth the weight. Oh, so worth it.

Rubina is obsessed with gold so, if I were to describe her in a color, it would be G O L D… She’s bright and eye catching. She shimmers and glows. Ruby is precious. She’s lustrous, beautiful, and has high value; solid from the inside out. Cherished and treasured.

I love my sweet gem with an all encompassing kind of love. A love best described as mom love. You feel me, moms; I know you do.

And so we begin another year of profound joy, milestone achievement, parenting struggles, and even more love than we leave behind.

We are incredibly blessed with the most wonderful friends. Each gift was either wrapped in gold, came with a gold card and/or it’s very contents were G O L D. They each know her SO well. Props to the parents of these beautiful children for how sincere and kind they were in their expressions. This little girl is well loved and well celebrated; we are just so thankful.
