It’s true. I’m a bad blogger. Well, I’m a bad blogger as it pertains to frequency, anyway. I like to think the content you browse here is substantial but just few and far between enough as to leave you wanting more, right? I’m coming up on the 1 year anniversary of launching Written and it turns out I’ve averaged about 1 post per week. 1! And that, my friends, is how to be a bad blogger. I’m buckling down though and I’m ready to bring you some bloggy goodness. There are a few reasons for the scarcity of posts over the course of the past year but most of it can be attributed to my struggle with balance; balance as it pertains to juggling motherhood, book writing and life, in general. Each time I sit to write I know at any moment there may be an interruption of any variety. Recent interruptions have included water boiling over on the stove and a massive soap explosion during a hand washing incident involving one tiny person. And even if I were able to set aside those distractions what actually weighs the most heavily on me is what to share in this space versus what I am reserving for my book. Finding the time to write is one thing but holding myself back from writing it all is quite another. I will likely edit my sharing more closely as the book continues to develop but I still have plenty to share with you in blog form; don’t worry about that. I’ve fine tuned my schedule (calendars galore!) and my process (post-its galore!) and I definitely believe Written will continue to flourish in the months ahead.
Here’s a sneak peek of some posts I’ve got queued up…
